  bummed
Our mighty softball team fell 9-7 to an inferior team tonight. Very disappointing. The lose puts our current record at 4-1. A chocolatey Leo's Coney Island milkshake is helping me shake off the sorrow.

On my drive home from work, I saw a very scruffy looking man cut through a fence and walk down the embankment of the freeway. I was in my car, stopped at the red light at the the corner of the service drive and 9 mile. I watched him as he crossed overpass, cut through the fence, and disappeared down toward the freeway. I am very curious to where he was headed. Why would anyone need or want to go down there? If it was a rainy day I would assume he was seeking shelter under the overpass, but this afternoon was perfectly beautiful. Maybe he needed a dark place to hit the bottle (or the needle). I think if I wasn't in my car, I would have followed him. This has brought on the realization of how little I know about the city I've lived in for nearly two years. Add to the To-Do List: Go exploring.

  back in black
So, tonight is the big night. STAR WARS: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith comes to theatres in approximately 14 hours. I'm definately excited but also dreading it. 4 hours of sleep is never fun. I suppose I could have taken tomorrow off to recover, but I've already split work early on Monday to play disc golf

Rumor has it that the freaks started lining up at 8pm last night. Who has that kind of time? I can easily waste a day doing f$%^ all, but who wants to stand in line for 28 hours to see a 3 hour movie. I'm expecting great things from this film, but no movie is that good.

Not sure what has happened to my social life lately. I feel like I've been busy going out, doing the thing, but I haven't seen any of my friends. Where is everybody?

  funny, stupid, pointless ... respectively
originally linked to by emily ... I Work In Advertising, Goddammit! ... is a must read. perfect! now pass in on.

i've never really read much by the now notorious Mitch Albom, but is he known for giving voices to inanimate objects? i know nothing about criticizing journalists (not being anything of a wordsmith myself), but this seems so 11th grade creative writing class. am i wrong?

i'm looking forward to another night of great detroit music from electro rock heros, adult. i'll try to remember my camera tonight and post some pictures over the weekend.
