ABC TV, May Sweeps! Scandal Revealed
WARNING: Spoiler Alert! If you don't want to know the juicy details of what happens on your favorite ABC television programs, I would stray away from the descriptions.

LOST - "THE GREATER GOOD" - WEDNESDAY, MAY 4 (8:00-9:01 p.m., ET) -- After burying one of their own, tempers flare as the castaways' suspicions of each other grow -- and an unlikely survivor vows revenge. Meanwhile, Claire and Charlie struggle to calm her newborn.

ALIAS - "MIRAGE" - WEDNESDAY, MAY 4 (9:01-10:02 p.m., ET) -- Sydney is shocked when she discovers that Jack is terminally ill -- and that he chose not to tell her. Meanwhile, Nadia's orphanage caregiver, Sophia (Sonia Braga, "American Family," "Kiss of the Spider Woman"), continues her convalescence at Sydney's apartment. Michael McKean ("Best in Show," "This is Spinal Tap," "Laverne & Shirley") guest stars as Jack's doctor, Dr. Liddell.

Lesley Ann Warren (as Susan's mom, Sophie) and Bob Newhart (as her estranged boyfriend, Morty) also guest star.

LOST - "BORN TO RUN" - WEDNESDAY, MAY 11 (8:00-9:01 p.m., ET) – Jack suspects foul play when Michael becomes violently ill while building the raft. Meanwhile a secret from Kate's past is revealed, the mysterious hatch is shown to a few of the survivors, and Walt gives Locke a warning.

ALIAS - "IN DREAMS..." - WEDNESDAY, MAY 11 (9:01-10:02 p.m.) -- This episode marks Jennifer Garner's directorial debut. The mysterious man (Joel Grey, Broadway's "Wicked," "Cabaret") who has been impersonating Sloane resurfaces, and this time he's hot on the trail of Rambaldi. Meanwhile, shocking revelations about the real Sloane are brought to light, causing everyone to further question his true intentions. Amy Irving ("Traffic," "Yentl") guest stars as Emily Sloane.

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES - "GOODBYE FOR NOW" - SUNDAY, MAY 15 (9:00-10:02 p.m., ET) -- Susan makes a decision about Mike Delfino. Meanwhile Lynette takes steps to make sure Annabel (guest star Melinda McGraw) doesn't come between her and Tom, Bree comes to a realization about "buddy" George the pharmacist (guest Roger Bart), and Carlos' legal problems take a turn for the worse.

Angela Bassett guest stars as Hayden Chase. A second episode follows.

ALIAS - "SEARCH & RESCUE" - WEDNESDAY, MAY 18 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET) -- "Search and Rescue" -- Upon discovering that Irina Derevko (Lena Olin) is alive, Sydney, Jack and Nadia set out to find her in order to thwart Elena Derevko's (Sonia Braga, "American Family," "Kiss of the Spider Woman") deadly Rambaldi endgame. DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES - "ONE WONDERFUL DAY" - SEASON FINALE -- SUNDAY, MAY 22 (9:00-10:02 p.m., ET) -- It's a not-so-wonderful day in the neighborhood, as past actions come back to haunt the men and women of Wisteria Lane. Meanwhile, the ladies get a new neighbor (Emmy winner Alfre Woodard as Betty Applewhite. Ms. Woodard becomes a series regular next season).

LOST - "EXODUS, PART 2" - TWO HOUR SEASON FINALE -- WEDNESDAY, MAY 25 (8:00-10:00 p.m., ET) -- The castaways on the raft are surprised at sea by something unexpected.   cool site!
take some time to check out this site ... its very cool for graphics and animation. my favorite part is the section called 'drum machine'. certain pages take a minute to load, but they're worth it ... if you have dial-up, forget about it. also, sometimes you need to click on text or graphics in order to move on to the next page, but they're no instructions ... if you are sitting there for a second and nothing is happening, move your mouse back-n-forth over the text or graphic to find the hidden links.

  Music Monday
I'm really excited about this one! Thought the cymbals sounded odd on the first listen, but after 3-4 times through realized this might be the best Stripes single yet.

I can't wait for the new record! June 7 will be a rockin' day. Enjoy!

Billy Corgan has a blog, awesome
I've been aware of William's site for a time, but just recently it has been redesigned (for the better) and he has been posting his autobiography ... dishing the dirt on past bandmates in the process. If you are a Pumpkins or Zwan fan ... you must read.

BillyCorgan.com

Billy also has a myspace page ... how indie, hip.

  technosexual
oops ... I forgot to mention that I recently acquired a fancy new LG 9100 text messaging phone and purchased a 20GB iPod online Friday morning. Both of which I really excited about. I've been offically dubbed a technosexual. This and a century club member all in the same week! Nothing can stop me now.
my podcast beat up your blog
podcasting is the new blog. this is the main reason for my lack of posts of late. i stumbled upon the whole podcast phenomenon after reading last month's W.I.R.E.D. magazine entitled "The End of Radio (as We Know It)" Which immediately caught my attention being in the biz.

So now I spend all my time driving back-n-forth to work and a good deal of time after work sampling all these different podcasts. most are complete shit! boring amateurs with delusions of granduer ... talking about nothing. i fail to see how this will revolutionize media as we know it. There are a few shining stars ... Adam Curry's (the godfather of podcasting) DailySourceCode and Father Roderick's (Dutch priest who flew to Rome and provided some wonderful coverage of Pope John Paul II's viewing and funeral) Catholic Insider are among my favorites. Some foward thinking terrestrial radio shows are also podcasting parts or all of their shows. Such as, Leo Laporte's KFI Airchecks & WOXY.com's Modern Rock Minute.

I was a big fan of Leo on TechTV back when it didn't suck, so i'm glad I have a way to get his tech advice once again. I believe KFI streams their audio, but the best thing about podcasting is that you can download the show and listen to them when you have the time.

Being radio geeks and longing for the fun of our college radio days, Liz & I are considering putting on our own shitty podcast. We'll see though. Might be another hobby I don't follow through on.
