In less than a week it will once again be time for the ... MetroTimes Hamtramck Blowout! Good times and great memories were had last year. Looking at the line up for this year ... there are a few must sees.

Thursday, March 3rd
Devin Scillion - Adam's Corner Bar @ 12:45a
how could i miss one of Detroit's most loved local celebrities country fried ... may have to catch a disco nab to stay out so late on a school night ...

Bang Bang - Knights of Columbus @ 12:45a
The Muggs - Paychecks @ 12:45a

other bands i wouldn't mind checking out solely based on my interest in their names.

  smile, its friday!
Good Morning!

I'm feeling unusually awake this morning. Maybe, it will be a good day. I'm surprisingly on top of things at work this week, so I can't imagine that will have to be there late today. I did get talked in to going to on of the larger station events this evening, Bridesmaids' Ball. Yeah, Its basically a wedding reception where women get to wear their old bridesmaids dresses. I'm not a fan of the wedding reception. bad food, dancing, uncomfortable conversations with strangers ... not fun. usually the only saving grace is free alchol, but we don't even have that tonight. i mean there is a bar with alchol but it is not free. gosh!

  ugh
i had a random thought yesterday ... i was 7 years old when i saw The Karate Kid in theatres (this is my favorite movie from my childhood) ... soon afterward, i began taking martial arts at the Wyandotte YMCA ... i'm 27 going on 28 ... The Karate Kid was made 20 years ago! ... that's a bit depressing ... can't believe it has been 20 years since Ralph Macchio waxed his way on to the big screen and into our lives ... please include your favorite Karate Kid quote with all replies ...

  home alone
i'm home alone this weekend. i think there is this wierd thing that happens when you've been in a relationship for a long while and then you're left alone for an extended period of time. you sort of forget who you are or were. i'm just bored and don't know what to do with myself. i don't have the motivation to do anything around the apartment. tv sucks! i've grown so use to that other person being there. don't misunderstand. i enjoy alone time, but today is the first sunny / warm day in weeks and just don't feel like walking around town by myself.

tomorrow will be better. i'm visiting the family. maybe, we'll catch a flick. i'll probably avoid the superbowl. i can always watch the commercials online on monday. need to keep track the scores after each quarter. i'm determined to win the office pool even with all the crappy #s i drew.

after this past week, i'm not looking forward to work on Monday. its been tough lately. i want to take on new challenges so i don't get bored, but there isn't even the time to do the things a have to do now. companies suck!
