  help!!!
still trying to work the bugs out of this new design and i need your help. what are you seeing? when i view this site at work the right navigation bar is being pushed under the main content and when i view in IE the links are all uneven. they should be all aligned to the left. i'm not sure why i'm having these problems, but if i knew what others were seeing it might help me work through the problems. thanx!

"shout out, psycho ... Harajuku Girls"
as promised a few words on Gwen Stefani's solo album ...
Love, Angel, Music, Baby

at first listen i was very uncertain about Gwen's new effort. i found the songs strange and unapproachable. after a 3rd & 4th listen i realized this is pure POP genius. if your expecting to be inspired, walk away. i you hungar for the days when Madonna was Queen of the Universe, step up ...

... listen to ...
"Hollaback Girl"
"Bubble Pop Electric"
"Crash"
"Serious"

... the most disappointing moment comes with the last track. "Long Way To Go" (a collaboration with Outkast's Andre 3000) mostly awful!

U2 "How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb"
disclaimer: i'm not a U2 'fan'

i sat down this morning to take in U2's "How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb". overall, for me, its ok. after a couple of listens there are only a few songs that truely catch my attention.

the first single ... "Vertigo" ... i still like. i applaud the band for drinking some red bull and kicking the tempo up a notch.

also like ... tracks 4 & 6 ... "Love and Peace or Else" & "All Because of You" ...

if anybody *cough, emily, cough* is interested in burning me a cd summarizing the genius of the mighty U2, i promise i will be a attentive student open to musical intervention ... i'm particularly interested in their albums before "Achtung Baby"!

up next ...

  damn the on demand
i got slightly addicted to the HBO On Demand this weekend. Watched 6 episodes of Deadwood which I was enjoying, but now what? They only offer the first 6 and the DVDs don't come out until February! Why must you tease me? Looks like i'll have to read or something tonight.

  vote, then vote again!
i've talked with several voters today, each of which had different experiences in their precincts, but when i voted this morning the poll workers didn't ask me for any identification . . . not my license nor my voters registration card . . . all i had to do i write down my full name and address on a poll slip, they checked against their list, and i was able to vote . . . if i knew any registered voters in my area i could easily walk in and vote in their place . . . and we wonder why the 2000 election results were so funked up . . . standards . . . we need stricter, national voting standards!
