  mmm, spaghetti!
i finished the 2nd season of The Sopranos on DVD this evening. Definitely hungry for more. looks like its time to borrow the 3rd season from that Rich guy at my old job, not watch it for 2 months, wait for liz to go out of town, then stay up all night for a caffeine induced Sopranos marathon. happened before (twice), good chance it will happen again.

watching the show always makes me hungry for Italian food. they eat so much, but its so true to life!

it reminds me of going to my grandmother's house. the first thing to always happen was to be offered food. don't dare say no, that would be insulting. it seems kind of annoying, but it wasn't. it was comforting. you knew to expect it. you also knew not to eat before you visited.

*shaking my head in disbelief, again*
where does all my time go? i pulled up the site today and realized its been an entire week since i've posted. not surprising to most of you i'm sure, but for me it seems like yesterday.

i've no time for internet play at work and when i get home the idea of sitting in front of a machine for more the 10 minutes to maybe check my email makes me ill. i'm very tired of staring at the lighted monitor.

anyway, to solve this problem i've decided to no longer be my departments personal I.T. guy. i spend too much time showing my colleagues how to do the simplest computer tasks. its almost 2005, you're living in the information age, computers are a necessary tool in the workplace, figure it out or get some training PEOPLE! how do you move a folder from your desktop to the g: drive? how do you preview photos without opening each file individually? aaarrrggghhh (the one-eyed pirate in me is frustrated)

the geeks at mircosuck would be disappointed that their user friendly OS isn't idiot friendly.

  kilborn, out!
this just in . . . craig kilborn steps down as host of CBS's the Late Late Show! could the rumors be true? . . . conan to replace kilborn? . . . or will CBS play the synergy card and pull jon stewart from its talent pool?
  victory!
the abrams team played an impromptu double header in softball last night and won both games! :) of course, our double header consisted of playing the same team twice, so once we mercied them the first game it would have been quite embarrassing to lose the second. the 2nd was a much closer match, but we came out on top. its fun to win, but for me it was more satisfying to see the team play well.

after our victories, we hung out at hooters of all places. never again! this restaurant has no redeeming qualities. it was small, overpriced, and full of high schoolers. after waiting 30 minutes for a table, we walk in and my first thought is "where are all the middle aged perverted guys who come here to look at the waitresses in their tight shirts"? nope, high schoolers everywhere.

enjoyed some of the Olympic opening ceremony while i sat enjoying my Labatt in large manly hooters mug and double cheese grill cheese platter with curly fries. it really put Americas wealth and size in perspective. we have 500+ athletes in this years games. i saw countries with as few as 2 athletes, and they were always in some obscure (non televised) sport such as 'shooting'. 'Shooting' really? you can't find one person in your entire country to train and compete in 'track and field'? 'Shooting' takes advanced equipment (gun, bullets, targets). 'Track and field' all you need is feet. got feet?

  ADD YOUR CAPTION!
the people of ferndale can be a bit eccentric when it comes to lawn art. this is a piece on the corner of lewiston and bermuda that i always pass walking back from the wab. it totally creeps me out.

i believe i can fly, i believe i can touch the sky

killing two blogs with one home
the problem with being in a living situation with another blogger who you spend 90+ percent of your time and experiences with is that posting the fun facts about your daily life becomes a competition of who can do it first.

i guess what i'm trying to say is . . . that i really enjoyed 'the village' too
