the weekend
had to get up early for work today. just thought i'd say a quick hello, good morning! worst work week ever, but more on that later. for now lets just bathe in the wonder of what the

saturday may have been my most traveled day ever . . . woke up in w. bloomfield (where liz was house sitting) . . . traveled to ann arbor for a little urban outfitters shopping (not remembering that it was art fair weekend) . . . drove around for 45 minutes looking for parking that wasn't $10 . . . after a couple choice purchases, headed back to the fern for more impromptu spending . . . $200+ later i'm sitting at the hastings street ballroom in detroit for some improv hilarity . . . then a quick bite at national coney in royal oak before heading out to TIME in pontiac to see a washed up Tone Loc perform his 2 hits, cover rappers delight, and debut a new single . . . back home passed out on the couch watching ferris buellers day off
sunday . . . tried to get a gathering at the wab . . . friends bailed . . . liz and i decided to get drunk on shawns wab birthday gift certificates . . . ran into sara brucey . . . exchanged #s . . . future plans look promising
tonight was the short awaited Ours performance at the Magic Bag . . . always a great show . . . who else plays for 2 1/2 hours for $12 . . . wish there were more songs played with the entire band . . . jimmy on solo acoustic makes me sleepy after 5 songs . . . tried to call amber during i'm a monster . . . biggest drawback was the 25 minute instrumental played from behind a burlap curtain that started the show . . . the new material sounds amazing . . . maybe the best yet

SciFi Sunday night. what i thought was going to be an hour special about his new movie "
The Village" left me 3 hours later with chills throughout my whole being. if its an elaborate hoax, its the best publicity stunt i've ever witnessed. it airs again Friday morning at 8am. 2 of 4 million Detroiters agree its a must see.
