Men and women wiped away tears as they watched their savior savagely tortured by jeering Jewish thugs and Roman soldiers until Jesus was flayed and his sacred blood pooled on the ground.
One woman's howls of grief briefly drowned out the movie's thunderous soundtrack.
After it was all over on Monday night, the Rev. Analee Dunn, co-pastor of the church, said it will take weeks to help her members understand what they saw.
"Many of the people who come into our churches know very little about the Bible," Dunn said. "Many people won't understand what they've seen in this movie."

i made my first trip to young soul rebels this afternoon . . . i have to say i approve . . . if you're not familiar, it is located above C Pop off Woodward in the Majestic Complex . . . they don't have a huge selection but the prices are right . . . $7.99 for used CDs . . . $9.99 - $13.99 for new CDs . . . lots of new and used vinyl . . . some band equipment . . . maybe if we can get more people shopping there they will expand their selection . . . currently they only use approx. 1/3 of the floor space . . . i don't know if i can take another Indie record shop falling to the wrath of Best Buy and Target . . .

i love photoshop . . . so i spent all evening yesterday on the computer practicing different techniques . . . which isn't very interesting for you to read about . . .
. . .but then I was distracted by some jerk shining a flashlight in my eyes through the front window from the outside . . . for a brief moment, I tried to ignore it but this person kept waving his light back and forth across my eyes . . . so I'm getting pissed and I start waving him away until I quickly realize that it is a police officer . . . by the time I get out of the chair and walk to the window, he is right there pressing his badge up to the glass . . . I run into the hall to open the front door . . .
. . . there stood two officers . . . of course, I now I feel like the jerk for ignoring them (and relieved that I didn't give them the finger from the comfort of my living room) . . . so now I'm apologizing and answering their questions and acting what must have seemed like a total spaz . . . what I gathered is that there was a break in one street over . . . and that is as exciting as it gets living in Ferndale, so far . . .
