another busy weekend . . . and Christmas is only 3 days away . . . it doesn't seem to matter how old I get . . . the weekend recap . . . aren't the weekends for relaxing? . . . I rarely get to relax on the weekend . . . Friday night Liz and I hosted an impromptu game night . . . things got a little rowdy during electronic catch phrase . . . but it IS
electronic catch phrase so rowdiness is a given . . . on Saturday, tried to finish holiday shopping . . . but only purchased items for myself and my 2nd aquarium (a whole different aquatic tale that I will get to in the future) . . . Saturday night was eventful . . . Liz and I attended the long awaited Blanche CD release party at the Stick (i.e., the Magic Stick for all you squares) . . . Good show despite the many sound problems and the Jack White fight . . . read all about it at

Sunday I had to work at Hard Rock Cafe Detroit . . . our 2 hour radio station event was mostly uneventful . . . the Hard Rock is nice, but I expected more and for it to be much larger . . . arrived back at apt 101 around 3pm . . . napped for 2 hours . . . then I was off to the ABC Radio Detroit Holiday Party . . . someone had the most excellent idea to have it at bowling center this year . . . free food, open bar, free bowling = good times . . . our holiday party is usually hosted a the very stuffy Gem Theatre . . . which is a nice time . . . but very boring . . . the bowling gave us something to do . . . and bowling is fun even if you suck . . . like me . . . I don't think many of my fellow employees shared my jubilation for the bowling since attendance was on the low end . . . out of the party at 9:30pm . . . a quick stop at National Coney Island for a veggie pita and a coffee . . . back home around 10:30ish . . . done

I just updated my crappy website . . . did you notice? . . . is anybody there? . . . this is full of questions . . . i am without the answers
okay . . . I'm totally addicted to Alias . . . well at least the first season DVD which I've been watching almost non-stop for a week . . . all I have left to watch is the 2 part final episode . . . I'm so excited . . . I just want it to be 5pm so I can go home and finish it off . . . the second season DVD comes out next week, I think, I hope it is as good as the first . . . being a media junky can be so disappointing much of the time . . . why is there so much mediocre crap out there? . . . who are these people who produce it? . . . do they not realize its crap? . . . how do they have careers as I waste away at a job that barely supports me? . . .
in related news . . . I had the displeasure of seeing 5 minutes of "the simple life" last night . . . crap, crap, crap, crappity, crap . . . and whats the big deal about Paris . . . I don't find her attractive . . . actually, she makes me want vomit . . . also, I watched "Pirates of the Carribean" . . . people like this movie? . . . it was a bit slow . . . 2.5 hours . . . 40 minutes could have easily been edited out making it a much stroger film . . . and the sets, well they looked like sets . . . there are other problems but I just don't have the energy . . . I didn't plan on getting this worked up as I sat down to begin this post . . .
back to work after the long Thanksgiving weekend . . . but its kool because the mini vacation was refreshing . . . Liz and I kept busy but it was all fun and games . . . we went to my grandmother's for Thanksgiving . . . good times with the fam including relatives from out of town that I only get to see once every year or two . . . Liz and I played the longest game of yahtzee in history . . . yahtzee=fun for all, but not when there are 12 players and it takes 10 for the dice to go around the table once . . . that and I suck a yahtzee
friday we took a rode trip to grand rapids to see Liz's best girl Jax . . . she got us in free to the Deftones/Thrice/Thursday show at the Orbit Room . . . good show . . . I'm not a Deftones fan, but I now understand why they have such a devoted following . . . I was really looking forward to seeing Thursday again . . . they opened the show which sucked because they only played for 25 minutes . . .
got back to Detroit Saturday afternoon . . . made a meal out of the Thankgiving leftovers . . . and prepared for the 2nd weekend concert . . . THE WHITE STRIPES!, finally . . . I've had tix for this show for 6 months . . . It was worth the wait . . . our tix ended up about 11 rows from the stage . . . The White Stripes do not disappoint . . . if you're a fan and haven't seen them you don't really know The Whites Stripes . . . and if you're not a fan . . . get a clue . . . they are the best . . .
